The occupants of seven houses, which are located in the area damaged by the movements of the ground most, in the Rosa settlement of the Korkino district have been resettled. For safety’s sake their unfit houses have been demolished. Today the last seventh house has been destroyed. Next thing on the agenda is the resettlement of two more buildings, which have been included into the program on the resolution of Mikhail Yurevich.
Last week the Head of the Region reported to the Prime Minister on the fulfillment of the instruction to resettle the Rosa settlement: «The first stage involves the resettlement of seven most unfit houses from the border of the open pit – that will be 75 apartments. The second stage will include the rest 18 unfit houses, which are in the poorest state, assuming that two of these 18 houses will be resettled by the end of this month. Meanwhile, the state of the houses, which are situated in the area of super high strain accumulation at the distance of 400 meters from the border of the open pit is being monitored. It will allow to define the extent of the third stage resettlement more precisely. We are going to work separately on the big private housing in the area of the second site of the Rosa settlement. This will be the fourth stage. However this stage will continue along with all the rest stages».
Today the specialized machinery has leveled the house located at 16, ul. Prokhodchikov, to the ground. Time-worn walls were easily destroyed from light touches of the excavator bucket. Usually, such a sight attracts lots of bypassers, but not this time. During the last and a half week the residents of the Rosa settlement got used to watching the old two-storied buildings being gradually destroyed.
Sergey Sikharulidze, the First Deputy Minister of Housing of Chelyabinsk region, arrived to control the work flow at this to say the least of it epoch-making project for the Korkino district. He reminded that the house which had been destroyed was the last one of the seven houses, the occupants of which had been resettled from the Rosa settlement by Monday, February 13th.«The work on the carrying over of the gas pipeline was finished practically several minutes ago. Now the building can be destroyed. Two more houses are scheduled for demolition by the end of February – at 5, ul. Prokhodchikov and 5, ul. Arkhitektorskaya – which have not been initially mentioned by Vladimir Putin, the Chairman of the Russian Government. The decision to resettle the inhabitants as soon as possible and to demolish those unfit houses was taken by the Governor Mikhail Yurevich after he had carefully studied the situation. At the present moment we are working on different variants of buying apartments for these families. We are going to give the photographs of the accommodations and their descriptions to the Rosa inhabitants within three days» – Sergey Sikharulidze said.
